The Bowie Baysox defeated the Reading Fightin Phils, 5-3, at FirstEnergy Stadium. Fernando Fiscal produced 2 singles and 2 doubles, while scoring 1 run and driving in 2. The Baysox raised their record to 66-59.

Bowie used a well-timed hit by Harry Simpson to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Baysox ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

After the game, Simpson refused to speak to a reporter for the Bowie Daily News. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
