Hartford picked up a win at NYSEG Stadium, toppling the Binghamton Mets, 6-2. Pitcher Vinny Herrick was one of the reasons the Yard Goats triumphed. Herrick went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 16-7. The win gives Hartford a season record of 77-49.

Gabe Nino provided a timely hit. The Hartford center fielder delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the seventh inning to put the Yard Goats on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.

"I told Vinny we needed some fire in the engine room," Yard Goats manager Dimitri Kourtis said, grinning. "And he responded."
