Richmond pitcher Justin Paglione did his part in helping his team defeat the Altoona Curve, 6-2. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Paglione, who is tied for 4th in the EL in strikeouts with 140, went the distance for Richmond. He gave up 2 runs on 11 hits. With the win, the Flying Squirrels sit at 73-53.

Richmond second baseman Ryan McClure contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a slider to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 144th hit of the season and put the Flying Squirrels ahead, 3-0.

"I'm just trying to capitalize on opportunities and be as consistent as I can every day," said McClure.
