10-7 Harrisburg Loss Tarnishes Rangel's Fine Effort
Harrisburg third baseman Andres Rangel pounded Erie SeaWolves pitchers at FNB Field, but it was not enough to keep the Senators from falling, 10-7. Rangel was 3-5 with 2 home runs and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Dan Hayes, the winning pitcher, improved to 11-2. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 4. The SeaWolves now own a record of 77-49.

Erie used a well-timed hit by David Sanchez to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the SeaWolves ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Sanchez told the Erie Bulletin.
