Senators Lose Late, 10-8
|
The Bowie Baysox overcame a fine performance by Harrisburg shortstop Mike Hoffman to defeat the Senators, 10-8, at FNB Field. Hoffman was 2-2 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Bowie pitcher Kyle Hassman got the win, upping his record to 6-8. Carlos Jimenez got the loss. The victory puts Bowie at 46-80.
Isaiah Brown produced at a critical juncture for Bowie. It happened in the top of the ninth with Mario Morales on the mound and Bowie leading 9-8. That's when the 24-year old right fielder Brown drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
"They played a better game than we did," said Harrisburg skipper Tyler Lord.
