Akron RubberDucks starter Jake Wahlstrom pitched his team past the Trenton Thunder, 3-2. Raul Cano sewed up the save, his 15th. Akron goes to 80-47. The win puts them 11½ games up in their division.

The RubberDucks got a big at-bat from first baseman Harrison DeLoach. For the game, DeLoach went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Akron a 2-0 lead.
