Lapping Tosses 3-0 Shutout Against Binghamton
|
Richmond Flying Squirrels pitcher Nick Lapping really got it done at NYSEG Stadium in a 3-0 shutout victory over the Binghamton Mets, shutting them down on 9 hits.
"It was just one of those games where everything went right. I threw a lot of strikes," Lapping said. "And the pitches they did get to hit, they didn't do anything with them."
The 25-year-old issued 2 walks and had 4 strikeouts in the Flying Squirrels win.
Lapping has started 2 times this year, pitched 58 innings, fanned 45 batters and walked 16. His current record is 4 wins and 3 losses with a 2.64 ERA.
