Flying Squirrels Top Thunder, 5-4
|
The Richmond Flying Squirrels did just enough to secure a victory over the Trenton Thunder, 5-4, in 10 innings at The Diamond. Nobody did more than pitcher Joe Grauberger. The win belonged to Jose Aguilar in relief. His record improves to 7-2. Tony Austin took the loss for Trenton. The 4th-place Flying Squirrels bumped their record to 59-69.
The Flying Squirrels got a clutch hit from left fielder Roland Meyer. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Flying Squirrels.
"It's so much easier when you throw good pitches," said Grauberger.
