Fisher Cats Rack Up 5-2 Win Versus Richmond
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats beat the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 5-2, at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The Fisher Cats got a fine performance from first baseman Matt Barnes, who was 2-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win went to Victor Gilbert in relief. His record improves to 3-2. Bill Hetrick took the loss. Aidan Reid, who is tied for 7th in the EL in saves with 14, earned the save for New Hampshire.

With New Hampshire leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Barnes hit a fastball from Bill Hetrick for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Fisher Cats ahead, 3-0.

New Hampshire manager Casey Bac called it "a pretty good win."

The last-place Fisher Cats bumped their record to 54-74.
