The Portland Sea Dogs got a superb performance from pitcher Jose Hoyos, but the Bowie Baysox still won the game, 7-5. Hoyos came in in relief and pitched to 17 batters. Bowie reliever Harold Dalton was the winner. His record is now 10-5. The losing pitcher was Ernesto Balderas. The 4th-place Baysox sport a record of 62-66.

Center Fielder Seth Morris made an impact for Bowie, when he swatted a bases-clearing double off Ernesto Balderas in the bottom of the first. For the contest, Morris was 2-4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Morris told the Bowie Daily News.
