The Bowie Baysox had to overcome a good performance from Erie pitcher Bryan Curry to claim a 3-1 win at Jerry Uht Park. Curry went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Bowie reliever Jamel Johnson was the winner. His record is now 3-7. The losing pitcher was Bryan Curry. The Baysox move to 48-80 with the win, while the SeaWolves drop to 51-78.

The Baysox benefited from a costly error in the top of the eighth. With Ruben Aguilar at bat and Bowie leading 2-1, the Erie miscue allowed Bowie to plate 1 and take the lead, 3-1.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Bowie manager Victor Griego. "Our pregame was pretty good."
