Mares Goes Distance in Binghamton Win
|
The Binghamton Mets received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Hector Mares, allowing them to shoot down the Hartford Yard Goats, 2-1. Binghamton is now 57-72, Hartford 74-56.
Mares earned the win, going 9 strong innings for Binghamton. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 8. Hartford hitters had little success against him.
"Hector mixed and matched," said Binghamton manager Terrell Hagans.
