Akron Grabs 4-2 Road Win

The Akron RubberDucks knocked off the Erie SeaWolves, 4-2, in Eastern League action at Jerry Uht Park. Akron pitcher and Daphne, Alabama, native Ray Holmes had an outstanding performance. Holmes, now 1-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. Lee Clark notched his 9th save of the season.
Jose Aguilera had a direct impact on the outcome. Aguilera contributed a 2-run triple in the top of the fifth inning to put Akron up, 3-2.
Aguilera attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
