Thunder Fall to Flying Squirrels Late
The Richmond Flying Squirrels picked up a win at Arm & Hammer Park, topping the Trenton Thunder, 6-4. On the mound for Richmond was right-hander Mario Correa. He played a principal role in the triumph. Richmond, at 77-55, occupies first place in the Northern Division.

Richmond used a timely hit from Nate Strother to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Flying Squirrels ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"Mario was strictly business," said Richmond field general Fernando Melendez.
