Mets Win at Altoona, 5-2

The Binghamton Mets topped the Altoona Curve, 5-2, in Eastern League action at People's Natural Gas Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Binghamton pitcher William Fosbinder. Fosbinder yielded 2 runs over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 2, and struck out 8. His record improves to 11-10. Binghamton has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Binghamton used the timely hitting of Manny Barraza to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mets on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but he made it count.
"I like the roll we're on right now," said Fosbinder after the game.
