The Trenton Thunder picked up a win at Jerry Uht Park, topping the Erie SeaWolves, 4-1. On the mound for Trenton was right-hander Nick Daniel. He played a principal role in the triumph. Daniel, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. Trenton, at 52-82, occupies last place in the Northern Division.
Marcos Sandoval, who is tied for 6th in the EL in triples with 5, had a direct impact on the outcome. Sandoval contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Trenton up, 2-0.
