The Binghamton Mets defeated the Akron RubberDucks, 6-3, in Eastern League action at NYSEG Stadium. Binghamton pitcher Bill Caudell had a standout performance. Steve Pritchard earned the save, his 5th. The 4th-place Mets are 68-67.

Romeo Zimolo hit a 2-run triple off Billie Barrett in the bottom of the third, which put the Mets in front, 2-1. Zimolo had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

"We need to keep playing good baseball," Caudell told the Binghamton Daily.
