Mets Pull Out Late-Game Win, 11-10
Despite a great performance by Altoona second baseman Greg Eckert, the Binghamton Mets defeated the Curve by the score of 11-10 at People's Natural Gas Field. Eckert was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The save was credited to Ryan Broughton, his 1st. The 5th-place Mets now have a win-loss record of 59-75.

Binghamton used a timely hit from Marvin Anderson to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Mets ahead, 11-10. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

Altoona manager Gerardo Zarco expressed his frustration after the game: "That many runs and it still wasn't enough?"
