Fisher Cats Sink Flying Squirrels, 4-1

The New Hampshire Fisher Cats topped the Richmond Flying Squirrels, 4-1, in Eastern League action at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. The standout performance belonged to New Hampshire pitcher and Santiago, Dominican Republic, native Josue Toala. Toala, the winner, moves to 14-5. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 2 walks. The Fisher Cats sit in first place in the Northern Division with a record of 85-50.
In the bottom of the fifth, New Hampshire catcher Franklin Padilla had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and one out, Padilla stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, New Hampshire. For the game, he went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
