The Altoona Curve licked the Binghamton Mets, 8-2. Mark Tallman deserved a big chunk of the credit. The shortstop went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Curve. Altoona, at 80-55, sits in second place in the Southern Division.

Catcher Jim Pak made an impact for Altoona, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Guadalupe Lozano in the bottom of the fifth. For the contest, Pak was 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
