The Reading Fightin Phils had to overcome a big game from Portland center fielder Bryce Mills to leave FirstEnergy Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-5. Mills slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Picking up the win was Jose Rios. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. The loss drops Portland to 5-4.

Chris Winn helped out the Reading cause in the bottom of the second inning with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.

"They beat us fair and square," Portland skipper Jason Hawkins said.
