4-3 Loss Extends Bowie Skid
New Hampshire beat Bowie at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to designated hitter Luis Maldonado. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Eddie Martinez was the winner. He's now 11-10. The loser was 23-year old left-handed pitcher Carlos Lucero. The Fisher Cats now own a record of 66-70.

Maldonado contributed in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped New Hampshire get the win.

"I warned the team before the game," losing manager Seth Dugas told reporters, "that I'm wearing the same pair of undies until we win."
