The Mets grabbed a win, 4-2, at NYSEG Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Trenton pitcher Mario Guadamuz. Guadamuz went 8 innings and allowed 4 runs. Brian Keenan snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Mario Guadamuz suffered the loss. Brad Wiggins was credited with the save for Binghamton, his 1st of the season.

Matthias Pirovano helped out the Binghamton cause in the bottom of the fifth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the center fielder was 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He scored 2 runs.

In postgame remarks, Pirovano applauded his team's "toughness."
