Mud Hens Take Down Braves, 6-2, in 10
|
Toledo Mud Hens starter Craig Hood took the mound against the Gwinnett Braves at Coolray Field; and, when all was said and done, the right-hander led his team to an extra-inning, 6-2 win. With the win, Toledo pushed its record to 16-15.
Toledo used the timely hitting of Alvaro Torres to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mud Hens on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Hood called the win "an overall solid one."
