Senators Defeated, 7-4, After Bowie Rallies
|
The Bowie Baysox topped the Harrisburg Senators, 7-4, in 10 innings at FNB Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Bowie pitcher Moises Flores. Bowie pitcher Dave Escobar got the win. He's now 6-3. Sam Payne was tagged with the loss. Bowie, at 97-40, holds down first place in the Southern Division.
Bowie won the game in part because of Josh Cummings. The shortstop ripped a bases-clearing double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Baysox ahead, 7-4. For the game, Cummings had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"Moises showed what he's made of," said Bowie manager Seth Dugas.
