With 4-1 Win, Baysox Go to 100-37
|
Baysox first baseman Nick Haws left his mark on his team's 4-1 win over the Harrisburg Senators. Haws was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Bowie in the contest. Jared Angell, the winning pitcher, improved to 16-4. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 run, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The Southern Division-leading Baysox are 100-37.
Early in the game, Haws had a 2-run home run for Bowie. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Baysox on top, 2-0.
After the game, Haws refused to speak to a reporter for the Bowie Observer. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
