Not everyone stuck through the 43-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The New Hampshire Fisher Cats picked up a win at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, dropping the Trenton Thunder, 4-2. Brian Revis was the difference-maker. Revis picked up the win for New Hampshire, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0.
The Fisher Cats got a big at-bat from first baseman Will Gilmore. For the game, Gilmore was 1-3 with a double, while adding 3 RBI. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 6th double of the season gave New Hampshire a 2-0 lead.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Revis told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
The Fisher Cats improved to 78-59.
