Mets Lick Thunder, 8-4
|
The rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of Binghamton fans at NYSEG Stadium.
Binghamton designated hitter John Rice helped his team beat the Trenton Thunder, 8-4. Rice went 1 for 2 for the Mets. With the win, the Mets have a record of 53-85.
Binghamton shortstop Nathan Manning helped the Mets go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Manning hit a run-scoring single off Trenton pitcher Sonny Davidson.
"Nice win for us," said Rice. "Now we'll go after the next one."
