The Portland Sea Dogs defeated the Altoona Curve, 5-2, at Hadlock Field. Evan Sowles was a standout performer for Portland. His 3 hits included 2 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 1 run he scored and 2 he knocked in. The win went to Carlos Galdamez in relief, making him now 1-0. Rich McMillan took the loss for Altoona. Alex Hall earned his 5th save in 11 chances.
