Mets 8-3 Winners Versus Trenton

The Binghamton Mets topped the Trenton Thunder, 8-3, in Eastern League action at Arm & Hammer Park. The standout performance belonged to Binghamton pitcher and Santa Clara, California, native Ross Pepper. At 72-67, the Mets are currently second in the Northern Division.
In the top of the seventh, Binghamton designated hitter Matt McKenna had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Trenton hurler Bob Searle, McKenna drew a walk, driving in 1 run. That made the score 4-2, Binghamton. For the day, McKenna drew 3 walks.
"It's nice to see a lot of guys make contributions," said Mets manager Mike Keeney.
