Pellicano Deals Altoona 3-0 Setback
Richmond pitcher Mark Pellicano had a large part in his team subduing the Altoona Curve, 3-0. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Mike Billingsley earned the save for Richmond, his 16th of the year. The 4th-place Flying Squirrels lifted their record to 66-73.

Pellicano earned the win to move to 12-13. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 6 and walking 0. The right-hander allowed the Curve few scoring opportunities.
