Altoona Curve starter Marcelino Ramires was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Portland Sea Dogs, 5-3. Jose Oscal finished to wrap up his 13th save. The Curve go to 82-58, putting them second in the Southern Division.

Altoona used a timely hit from 22-year old shortstop Noah Gelderman to get the win. The shortstop delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Curve on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was huge.

"Marcelino's good, period," said Altoona manager Gerardo Zarco.
