Richmond Flying Squirrels starter Nick Rittenhouse pitched his team past the Hartford Yard Goats, 4-0. The win makes Richmond 84-56.

The Yard Goats had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Flying Squirrels going into the bottom of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old third baseman Marcos Iniguez came to the plate. Iniguez hit a 2-run home run on a 2-2 cutter from Hartford hurler John Wells. It was Iniguez's 29th home run of the year.

Iniguez attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
