The Norfolk Tides got a good effort from starter Noah Politano in defeating the Toledo Mud Hens at Fifth Third Field. The final score was 2-1. Norfolk is now 15-17, Toledo 16-14.

Luis Acuna, who is tied for 10th in the IL in hits with 32, had a direct impact on the outcome. Acuna contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put Norfolk up, 2-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Norfolk manager Alfredo Rojas said.
