Bisons Lose By a Run at Pawtucket
|
In a tightly-contested game between the Pawtucket Red Sox and the Buffalo Bisons, pitcher Zach Stout was outstanding. The Pawtucket right-hander, who is rated as the 55th best prospect by BNN, propelled his team's 2-1 win. Stout, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Israel Vargas recorded the save for Pawtucket, his 1st of the season.
With no one out in the bottom of the fifth, Mike Dolinsky put Pawtucket in front, 2-1, with a run-scoring single. The Red Sox went on to win the ballgame.
"Zach had himself a pretty good evening," said Pawtucket manager Chris Harris.
With the win, the Red Sox are 9-24.
