Boosted by the 3-hit performance of Trevor Chisholm the Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians defeated the Helena Brewers, 5-2. Carlos Lerma, the winner, is now 1-0. He struck out 3 and walked 1 over 6.1 innings, while allowing 1 run on 3 hits. Helena falls to 2-7.

Andy Thompson had a big run-scoring double for the Guardians in the top of the fourth inning. With Cleveland (Rk+) leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he got a sinker from 19-year old left-handed pitcher Victor Valenzuela and swatted a double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Guardians ahead, 3-1.
