The Billings Mustangs racked up a win at Harbingers Ballpark, bumping off the Chicago (Rk+) Cubs, 2-1, in 10 innings. Danny Samico, who started for Billings, pitched effectively for his team. The winner in relief was Alex Romero. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. The Cubs drop to 5-5 and continue their mediocre start to the 2106 season.

Basilio Santana's at-bat with one out in the top of the tenth was critical. The Billings shortstop grounded out, driving in 1 run, to put his team on top, 2-1. Runs were at a premium and this one was huge.
