The Helena Brewers weathered a fine game by Cleveland (Rk+) shortstop Dave Salazar to upend the Guardians, 5-4, at Parrots Ballpark. Salazar went 2-3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Marvin Tello wrapped it up, recording his 4th save. Cleveland (Rk+), with the loss, is 3-7.

Helena used the hitting of Mike Mayes to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Brewers on top, 2-0. For the game, Mayes had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Mayes said.
