Cubs Win, 3-0, Extend Streak to 4 Games

The Chicago (Rk+) Cubs defeated the Billings Mustangs, 3-0, in Pioneer League action at Harbingers Ballpark. Chicago (Rk+) pitcher Mike Stone had a standout performance. Earning his 1st save for Chicago (Rk+) was Eurico Seixas. The triumph makes Chicago (Rk+) 6-4, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2114.
The Mustangs had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Cubs going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old right fielder Antonio Rodriguez came to the plate. Rodriguez hit a 2-run double on a 2-1 fastball from Billings hurler David Herrera. It was Rodriguez's 3rd double of the year.
Rodriguez told a Chicago (Rk+) Gazette reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
