Guardians Score Late to Beat Athletics, 4-3

The Oakland (Rk+) Athletics could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Manny Roman into a win. Instead, the Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians prevailed, 4-3. Roman threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The win brings the Guardians to 7-3, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
The decisive blow was delivered by Trevor Chisholm in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run double off 20-year old right-handed pitcher Jim Unknown to win the game for Cleveland (Rk+). The home crowd went nuts.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Chisholm.
