Tight Tilt Goes to Rangers, 4-3
The Texas (Rk+) Rangers picked up a win at Black Diamonds Ballpark, knocking off the Seattle (Rk+) Mariners, 4-3. On the mound for Texas (Rk+) was right-hander Jesse Gilmer. He played a key role in the triumph. Gilmer, now 1-1, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 6, walking 4, and allowing 3 runs. Jose Valencia zipped up his 3rd save.

Texas (Rk+) right fielder Jason Reinbold contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 12th hit of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 4-0.

"It's always a heck of a lot easier to get to sleep after a win," Reinbold told the Texas (Rk+) Observer. "I know I'll rest easy tonight."
