Bisons Lick Red Sox, 3-0
|
Jimmy Austin was terrific for the Buffalo Bisons in his team's 3-0 triumph over the Pawtucket Red Sox. His performance earned Austin rave reviews. Ken Moscatelli closed out the game, earning his 3rd save. The Bisons now own a record of 21-13.
Buffalo used a well-timed hit by Matt Swann to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Bisons ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Austin.
