Billings and Portland took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

The Billings Mustangs downed the Portland Tigers, 7-3, at Hackers Ballpark. Jonathan Welch led the way, going 1-for-4 for Billings. The loss drops the Portland record to a disappointing 6-8.

With Billings leading 2-0 in the top of the third, Welch hit a cutter from Elijah Moore for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Mustangs ahead, 6-0.

"See ball, hit ball. When I think too much, that's when I get in trouble," Welch told the Billings Chronicle.
