Indians Hand Gwinnett 3-1 Loss
|
Chris Valentine, who is tied for 6th in the IL in innings pitched with 47.0, pitched well, but the Gwinnett Braves still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Indianapolis Indians at Coolray Field. Indianapolis now sports a record of 13-21.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Nick Gibilisco to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Indians on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"What we get, we earn," Gibilisco told the Indianapolis Bulletin.
