The Helena Brewers soundly defeated the Philadelphia (Rk+) Phillies, 13-1, at Ballpark of Seymour. Jesse Shaw let his bat do the talking. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Helena. Sam Daniels, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 9 innings. The third-place Brewers now sit at 8-9.

With Helena leading 1-0 in the top of the second, Shaw hit a sinker from Alex Moreno for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Brewers ahead, 4-0.
