The Syracuse Chiefs topped the Pawtucket Red Sox, 6-4, in International League action at NBT Bank Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Syracuse pitcher Bill Freake. Syracuse is 4th in the North Division with a record of 16-19.

Syracuse took a 6-3 lead on Ernesto Jimenez's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Jimenez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Pawtucket pitcher Blake Jenkins visibly frustrated.

"We want to make a habit of winning," Freake said after the game.
