Brewers Pick Up 2-1 Win
|
The Boise Hawks wasted an impressive 6.1-inning effort from starter Ross Smolnik, falling, 2-1, to the Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers at Ballpark of Fremont. The win puts Milwaukee (SS-A) at 5-2.
Gary Cobb was vital to the Milwaukee (SS-A) win. He was 1 for 2 with a hit by pitch. In the bottom of the second with two out, Cobb hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Brewers.
"We won," said Cobb. "But they made us earn it."
