Brewers Knock Off White Sox, 3-0
|
The Brewers grabbed a win, 3-0, at Ballpark of Fremont, overcoming a fine effort from Chicago A (SS-A) pitcher Sam Wells. Wells went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Raul Gamboa earned the save for Milwaukee (SS-A), his 1st of the year. The win gives Milwaukee (SS-A) a record of 5-2.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from left fielder Eric Lowe. For the game, Lowe went 2-4 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Milwaukee (SS-A) a 1-0 lead.
Afterward, Brewers manager Ben Schorn said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
