Urbano Mirrado put on a pitching clinic, while helping the Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels beat the Everett AquaSox, 1-0. Jimmy Powell earned his 3rd save, after closing out the game. Los Angeles A (SS-A) goes to 5-3.
Mirrado was the winning pitcher. He raised his season record to 1-1. In 8 innings of work, Mirrado gave up no runs on 3 hits, while striking out 9. The AquaSox were never able to generate much offense.
"I tried to establish all my pitches early," said Mirrado.
