The Charlotte Knights weathered a fine game by Columbus shortstop Brad Foster to upend the Clippers, 7-5, at BB&T Stadium. Foster went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. With the win, Charlotte raised its record to 22-12.

Charlotte took a 7-5 lead on Chris Pitts's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Pitts hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Columbus pitcher Jason Valenzuela visibly frustrated.

"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Pitts told the Charlotte Times.
