Katsumi Nagamine pitched well, but the Kansas City (SS-A) Royals still fell short, losing, 4-3, to the Minnesota (SS-A) Twins at Melaleuca Field. Joe Austin earned the save for Minnesota (SS-A), his 1st of the year. Minnesota (SS-A) goes to 5-4.

Minnesota (SS-A) relied on the bat of Bobby Cobos to get the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Twins ahead, 3-2. For the game, Cobos had 1 double and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Kansas City (SS-A) manager Lorenzo Villatoro. "But we decided not to take it."
