Sam Rollins was locked in. The right-hander led the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes to a 6-3 win against the Eugene Emeralds at PK Park. With the loss, Eugene falls to 3-5.

Chris Taylor had a big run-scoring triple for the Volcanoes in the top of the fifth inning. With Salem-Keizer leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from 21-year old left-handed pitcher Johnny Morell and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Volcanoes ahead, 3-0.

Taylor told a Salem-Keizer News reporter that the win made him feel "upbeat about our team."
