Riding the 2-hit performance of the 27-year old right fielder Larry Seiger, the Columbus Clippers defeated the Durham Bulls, 5-2. Picking up his 1st save was 27-year old right-handed pitcher John Forrester. After today's action, Columbus sits at 14-21; Durham slips to 20-16.

Seiger had a timely hit for Columbus in the bottom of the sixth. With Columbus trailing 2-1, he turned a 1-2 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 5th home run of the season, making it 4-2, Columbus.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Clippers manager . "This one was nice to get."
