The Jackson Generals received a sterling performance from starting pitcher Tony Walsh, allowing them to shoot down the Mississippi Braves, 4-1. The save went to Orlando Lopez, number 1 for him. The win gives Jackson a record of 16-10.
Walsh tossed 117 pitches over 8.1 innings to clinch the win for the Generals. The left-hander allowed just 4 hits, while racking up 10 strikeouts in the game.
