The 2113 season did not get off to quite the start the Portland Sea Dogs had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Binghamton Mets at Hadlock Field. The final score was 5-3. Starting Pitcher Mike Sloan was the top performer for Binghamton. The save went to Brad Wiggins, number 1 for him.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Kevin Dye? The Binghamton second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mets on top, 1-0. For the game, Dye had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
