Thunder Stymied by Flying Squirrels, Perry
|
Richmond pitcher Wayne Perry had a large part in his team beating the Trenton Thunder, 7-0. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. So far, the 2104 season has been disappointing for Trenton, now 3-7.
Perry picked up the win. He's now 2-0, after putting the Trenton offense in the deep freeze. Over 7.1 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 4 hits.
"I thought we were prepared," Trenton manager Ben Rose said after the game. "I thought we'd be more competitive out there."
